People are thinking, if a website's ranking is dropped down, they have been banned by google
and other search engines. But the real fact lies by checking the google search engine's results page.
Open your website URL in google search box, if the reply from google is "sorry no such information is
available for your website", else if the website is valid click the displayed URL to visit the web page having the term of your domain names. If the google page rank toolbar shows gray color, there are chances for
google and other search engines to ban your website.
Causes to get banned your website
There may be possibilities of getting banned your site, even because of wrong on-page and
off-page optimization factors. They can be listed as
Hidden Text
There may be some text, phrases or even keywords that are not visible for a visitor in a website
can be referred as hidden text. Even though search engines can see the hidden text, those keywords or phrases are not considered as indexed/crawled.
Alt image tag spamming
In some cases, the images cant be given names and they are given only the keywords as
alternate name(alt text). They cause no difference/ harm in a website, but when a image is not loading
at a specified time, these text can be seen there.
Although it is considered as keyword stuffing, this can be implemented for optimization
purposes and also to describe the image.
Meta Tag Stuffing
A clear way to explain meta tag stuffing can be as
<meta name="KEYWORDS" Content="event,management,event management,Event,Management,Event Management,
EVENT,MANAGEMENT,EVENT MANAGEMENT" >
Here the keyword "event management" is repeated many times as upper and lower cases.
The final reason to ban your website by google and other search engines is your bad neighbor
links(inbound links and outbound links). If any of your links has a spam/malware attacks, your website may also get banned.
